So I’ll admit it, so far I am really enjoying this season of the Apprentice. Last week was a good show, much better than any of the ones last season.

So after the shot of the phone call, the two teams meet Donald and his posse outside of Trump Towers. Before he gets into the challenge, he notices that Danny has managed to put a suit on, and complements him on that. Looks like the “clothes don’t really make a man” fight lasted about 5 seconds. And the guidelines are then put down. Each team will have 20,000 to “make over” a motel at the Jersey Shore, and then take guests for the evening. They will then fill out Yahoo surveys (I do love a good product placement) and the highest scores will be the winning team. This should prove to be a good time because really, who doesn’t love Jersey?
What a surprise, Brian is the first to speak up for Net Worth and is their project manager. He’s going a mile a minute in their van ride with ideas, and it’s really starting to get Kristin mad, but she didn’t want to question and start a fight. Yea right, the girl lives for the fights. They arrive at the motel, and let me tell you, it’s a dump. Both teams have their work cut out for them. The first fight happens almost instantly, as Audrey wants to get a dumpster to put all the crap in, but Kristin says they need a budget. Brian says no to the budget (words that will come back to haunt him later, do not worry.)
Magna arrives at their motel, which is just as bad. Michael is their project manager, and he goes into full task mode, figuring out everything that needs to be done. Verna, in charge of the money and customer service, is a little confused on what she is suppose to be doing, but Michael is quick to dismiss her, saying customer service didn’t matter. If the winning team is the team with the best ratings, I think customer service would really matter, but what do I know?
Cut back to Net Worth, where the girls get a shopping spree for stuff in Target, and Brian spends a lot of time talking about how amazing he is, and how his team should learn from that. I said it last week and I will say it again, that guy’s mouth is so going to get him fired. We then get Craig talking (he doesn’t do a lot of that) questioning why Brian had all the toilets replaced. They had talked about putting in new seats, but whole new toilets seems kind of dumb (yes, it does.) Brian then calls the girls to tell them about the new toilets, looking for support or something, but the girls think it’s just as stupid, and are already putting it out there that if they lose, it’s because of that.
Magna is working on getting some paint on the walls, and Michael goes after Verna to help paint. She tries to tell him she is working on her job, but he tells her customer service doesn’t matter, and then we see him in an interview, saying Verna takes the tasks that are less demanding on her. Ok, I will admit both teams are really good about finding moments where they think they could lose a task and totally pointing fingers at other people. Verna seems to get frustrated with Michael not caring, but attempts to paint. |
