MANHATTAN, NY – January 17, 2004 – MTV’s Real World: Paris star Leah Gillingwater is set to host a concert featuring pop singers Adam Barta & Brett Michael on January 27th at 10:00 pm in the Main Space at the Knitting Factory in NYC. The concert will showcase the two young and upcoming vocalists as well as the beautiful and talented Leah, who any Real World fan will not want to miss. Adam and Brett also shared the stage in another concert over the summer at Trousdale, an upscale and trendy hot spot in the heart of Broadway. Taking over the main space at The Knitting Factory, Adam will be performing his single I Told Her and also his remake of the Olivia Newton John classic Physical, with music by The Verve Pipe’s Brad Vander Ark. Brett will be showcasing some previously unperformed and raw, new material. The Knitting Factory is located at 74 Leonard Street (b/w Church St. and Broadway) in New York City, (212) 219-3132.

Adam, a Bronx native, released his first single, I Told Her, last year on the VC2America Records label. It has been on the air and radio playlists internationally, as well as his popular (currently unreleased) dance song Dirty Girls. Last year Adam was present at the Britney Spears In The Zone TV special, released a music video featuring MTV’s Dorian Davis, and is currently in the studio recording new music. Growing up in the diverse enclave of Glen Cove, Long Island, Brett, now 20, was exposed to various genres of music growing up including R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop, Blues, Country, Jazz, and Rock covering most of the musical spectrum. He has performed in numerous theatrical productions, taking part in A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden. Outside of music, Brett has offered his talent to independent films as well as the first season of HBO’s OZ. He recently took part in a fundraising effort for the victims of 9/11 with the help of fellow Glen Cove High School Graduate, World renowned psychic John Edwards.

Leah, a Long Island native, has the world at her fingertips. Preferring the finer things in life, she has a love of shopping and expensive name brands. Leah aspires to start a fashion career in NYC. Always getting herself into the hippest parties, Leah and her friends know how to make the most of every experience. One of the most popular and requested Real World stars, Leah has successfully carved a place for herself in the world of television and nightlife.
